Village of Akron Trustee Carol Dworzecki
Carol Dworzecki and her husband, Zyggy moved to Akron in 2001. She graduated from high school, business school, was a licensed cosmetologist for forty-seven years, and has three years of additional college credits. She has been a shipping/receiving manager, a private secretary for a corporation president and owner, a jewelry designer, the owner of a housecleaning service, and also worked at a CPA firm. As a resident, Carol has been on the village council for approximately eight years in total, the last eighteen months as Pro-Tem. For six years she was the Zoning Administrator and five of those also as the Blight Officer. During her tenure on the council, she has served on several different committees.
Carol and Ziggy have been married thirty-one years. Their family includes seven children, fourteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Carol enjoys spending time with family, many crafts (knitting, sewing, crocheting, etc.), and two women's groups (Caro Wixsons and Red Hats). She also has the honor of beginning her sixth year as president of our VFW Auxiliary.
